Cable Modem Screenshot (Downstream 4.2Mbps, Upstream 256kbps)- (May 25, 2003 To July 25, 2005):
Location: Home - Adelphia

Our town finally had BroadBand Internet Access! This connection marked the third broadband internet service I had access to at the time and also the only one at home. The connection varies but I've had downloads over 300KB/sec already.
The average download speed was 250KB/Sec (15.0MB/Min). Max was 400KB/sec (24.0MB/min).

Cable Modem (Downstream 2.2Mbps, Upstream 384kbps) - (Jan 13, 2003 To Dec 30, 2003):
Location: Workplace #2 - Critical Fuse
Upgraded Broadband Access From DSL (600kbps) To Cable Modem
(2.2Mbps). The upstream is slower than before, but the downstream more than
makes up for it by being over 3X faster!
The average download speed was 185KB/Sec (11.1MB/Min). Max was 274KB/sec (16.4MB/min).

Screenshot From Feb 04, 2003
It only took a little over 33 mins to download this 438 MB file!

DSL Modem (Downstream 600kbps, Upstream 600kbps) - (Jan 23, 2002 To Jan 12, 2003):
Location: Workplace #2 - Critical Fuse
The average download speed was 52KB/Sec (3.1MB/Min). Max was 60.9K/sec (3.6MB/min).
This DSL line was sweet. Super fast downloading on a 1.7Ghz / 60GB / 12X CDRW computer!

DSL Modem (Downstream 160kbps, Upstream 160kbps) - (Sept 2001 To Nov 2004):
Location: Workplace #1 - Advantage Computer Services
Inc.
The average download speed was 15KB/Sec (900KB/Min). Max was17.4KB/Sec (1MB/Min).
This DSL service was slow but steady. Since the connection was always on I was able to queue files and download large files without disconnects or interruptions. At night before I left work I would leave the computer on, queue whatever files I wanted using GetRight, setup Getright to start downloading files, and in the morning I'd have all the files. With the one-way cable modem I had I would usually get disconnected multiple times and either get incomplete files or the downloads would never start at all.
One Way Cable Modem (Cable Downstream (1.1Mbps) , Dial-Up Upstream(56kbps)
- From Aug 2000 To Aug 2001:
Location: Home

I had this installed the week it was released in our town. For about 8 months
my average download speed was 150KB/Sec (9MB/Min). Then the last four months
the service started getting worse and worse so I was forced to cancel the service.
Recently I was able to get access to a DSL line, although not at fast it is
at least consistent service.
