Atari Console Gaming System
The Atari 2600 was released in 1977 and was the first gaming system to use cartridges for the games rather than having them built-in. The system usually came with a pair of joystick controllers and a single game. The system ran at 1.19 MHZ with 128 bytes of RAM. The 2600 earned the reputation in the world as one of the most difficult machines to program. The system was widely popular in the late 70s / early 80s. You can find these systems at local flea markets and on ebay, if they work or not is another matter.
